Hello!

Yes, hello? Well, who are those Germans anyway? A question you might have asked yourself already. Yeah, exactly, those guys from the neighbourhood, the ones with the pale faces. After all, you don’t really know anything about them: nothing about how they tie up their shoes, how they like their chick peas or if they even have anything like chick peas at all – poor them!

We from Ja,Hallo! Filmfest have therefore asked ourselves: how would it be to get to know each other? In real life instead of from the newspaper or – even worse – the TV. That’s why we’ve picked three occasions to do what good neighbours do at times: eat and drink while watching a great movie! So come on, let go of your doubts and join us! The entrance is free of course – just bring the best mood you have!

Hello!

Hallo!

Spirited Away
27th of May · Lessingplatz · Oberbilk

Hey! Starting at 2 pm, there’ll be football, fun and games for the whole family! The first movie will be screened at 6:00 pm: “Spirited away”. Afterwards we’ll have some traditional turkish music. So come join us, we’ll be delighted by your presence!

2 pm Sports and Fun

Starting in the afternoon, kids will have loads of fun here: We’ll play football until we drop. But we’ll also have a few funny activities for all the “non-footballers”. Well, tickle me pink!

6 pm Spirited Away (movie)

On a trip, the 10-year old Chihiro and her parents stumble into a deserted, run-down amusement park. Most unfortunately, mum and dad get turned into pigs and Chihiro has to work hard in a bathhouse build for odd gods and ghosts. But how to turn back the parents and leave this magical realm? Children of all ages will find out here.
Suitable for all ages. German with English subtitles.

8 pm Music

There´ll be traditional turkish music by Muzaffer Gürenç, Cengiz Ipyos and Ayman Alabdallah. What a finale!

10 pm Gravity (Movie)

It all starts with a detonating Russian satellite, creating a chain reaction of destruction and making astronaut Sandra Bullock get lost in the uncertainty of outer space. Surrounded by the infinite, with little planet Earth right in front of her, she sets off for home, trying to dodge every meteorite that fate puts in her way. Luckily, her colleague George Clooney floats by to give her a hand here and there. The rest is cinema.
Suitable for audience as of 12 years of age. German with English subtitles.
